Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.

Welcome and congratulations! St. Nicholas Parish celebrates you being here and bringing new life into the family of God through the Sacrament of Baptism.
Let us help you with the following steps:
For Infants and children through age 6
Register in the Parish
Participate in the Parish community
Welcome your child to mass
Discern options for godparent(s) who are practicing Catholics
Participate in a Baptism class
Submit Baptism Paperwork
Those over the age of 6 will enter formation through OCIA:
For children ages 7-15
• Christian Initiation for Children who have reached catechetical age participate in a process of formation which progresses gradually within a supportive setting of group companions.
• The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation) for Youth and Families meets regularly and culminates in the reception of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. See OCIA page
For Inquirers over the age of 15
• Teens seeking baptism will discern if best prepared in OCIA for Youth and Family or OCIA for Adults. OCIA prepares the participants for three sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. See OCIA page
