Welcome and congratulations! St. Nicholas Parish celebrates you being here and bringing new life into the family of God through the Sacrament of Baptism.

Let us help you with the following steps:

For Infants and children through age 6

• Register in the the Parish on our I am new page

• Participate in the Parish community

• Welcome your child to mass

• Discern options for godparent(s) who are practicing Catholics

• Participate in a Baptism class

• Submit Baptism Registration paperwork

Those over the age of 6 will enter formation through OCIA:

For children ages 7-15

• Christian Initiation for Children who have reach catechetical age participate in a process of formation which progresses gradually within a supportive setting of group companions.

• The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation) of Youth and Families meets regularly and culminates in the reception of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. See OCIA page

For Inquirers over the age of 15

• Those seeking baptism as well a those baptized in another faith can have their faith questions answered through the OCIA formation sessions.

• OCIA prepares the participants for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. See OCIA page

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. CCC 1213
