We all remember that middle school was awkward and difficult. That hasn’t changed. Today, however, societal shifts have made the middle school years more difficult than ever.

"Edge" Catholic Middle School Ministry is St. Nicholas Parish's program for our younger teens (sixth through eighth grade). Our focus is centered on the Eucharist, with the goal of leading young people closer to Christ. Edge provides a safe and fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth.

The format of each session follows the flow of the Mass: Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send. Each semester includes a mix of catechesis, social issues, and fun - and we always have food!

Edge meets on Sunday evenings, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (with dinner starting at 6:30 PM) in the Parish Hall.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
